Welcome

A garden always in progress, always in bloom

Bridge End Cottage sits in the village of Ockham, Surrey. From May to August the garden is open by arrangement through the National Garden Scheme. It is a large garden with plenty to see — from wildflower meadows and a productive greenhouse to a tranquil pond and a historic orangery.

Visits are arranged directly with the garden owner, Mrs. Clare Bevan. Groups of 10–25 are preferred. Interested gardeners are particularly welcome and can be taken on a full tour by Clare herself, with time for discussion of plants, Latin names, and gardening tips — followed by tea and cake in the orangery.
